This Week onthe Island 08/18/2013

  ‘This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Same as last week. Another beautiful Key West week. Lots of sun, some rain lots of humidity. In the low 90’s in the day and the low 80’s at night.

No book this week.

We leave the house and go east on Caroline Street

We pass B.O.’s (That is B. O.’s for Buddy Owens)

We also go by Pepe’s Restaurant

We get to the corner at Harpoon Harry’s Restaurant

In the next block we go by The Big 10 Sport Bar

We turn on Grinnell and and head toward the Bight and Dante’s is packed

We go past The Half shell Raw Bar

We also pass Turtle Kraals

We head on down to Lazy Way Lane and pass Schooner Wharf Bar

We look over to Conch Republic Seafood Restaurant

And no meal is complete without a little desert, so we drop by Kermit’s Key Lime Pie Shop.
