This Week on the Island 06/29/2014

‘This week on the Island' is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.

Weather: Summer is here. The weather for the next 4 months will be hot and humid with a chance for rain.
This week I read ‘Dead Eyes’ by Stuart Woods.
Some pictures this week from my trike rides around the island.
The place on Green Street that has been many things and last was Solo’s is now Shameless.

The place on Front Street that was Red Fish-Blue Fish is now empty

The place on White Street that was Glynn Archer School will be the new City Hall in about a year or so.

The end of US#1 is still the same. (Why did that chicken cross the road?) There is a sign similar to this in Fort Kent, Maine at the other end of US1.

Across the street is the beginning of US#1. There is a sign similar to this in Fort Kent, Maine at the other end of US1.

Birkenstocks

Birkenstock tan

And another beautiful Key West sunset. I don’t know if they have sunsets like this in Fort Kent, Maine, but I bet they don’t have the palm trees.

Key West you have got to love it
