This Week on the Island 10/29/2017

‘This Week on the Island’ is written by Doug Bennett and is an update to friends about happenings in Key West last week. Everything is true except for those parts that are lies.
The Weather: Same as last week. Beautiful. Sunny, white clouds and blue skies.  Then the rain came for the weekend.
Sunrise over the dog park on Trumbo Road at the end of Caroline Street.

This week was Fantasy Fest. Other than Year-End, this is the busiest week of the year. People everywhere, no place to park, no seats in the restaurants, etc. They are loud, they are drunk, but as my wife, Jo, likes to say, ‘Next week they will be gone and we will still be here’.

These puppies were not at the dog park.

The Hair Dresser Ball was held at the new amphitheater at the new park at Truman Waterfront.

Lots of folks in the pool at Dante’s

The Southernmost Point has been re-done

And last but not least, it has been 4 weeks since my Total Knee Replacement Surgery. I am doing really well.
